We stayed in one of the tower rooms. The room was nice well fitted out. The building has lots of character and is used for weddings. The building has some very attractive aspects and is well worth wandering around. Meals are in the main block used for conferences. Breakfast was decent buffet service. All in all a relaxing stay which we enjoyed
We met with friends here for the night. The staff couldn’t have done more to ensure we had a wonderful time. Monica and Andreas were so helpful, thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
Stayed here for a company training. There were 2 training events while I was there and a large group arrived once we left. Room in the Tower building was lovely and spacious. Due to history, many stairs in the Tower building, even in some rooms steps. I'm normally not a fan of buffet but this one was amazing. Many choices, delicous fish. I had far too many dessert. Conference service was very good as well.
Stayed for two nights. Stayed in the towers the 1st night. Lovely room excellent value. The 2nd night a suite in the new main building, a lot more expensive but added bonus we had a terrace with seating, although the guttersxwere blocked constant dripping. Staff have been amazing. No room service unfortunately. The towers has no reception, dining or bar, although there was a bar it was not open. Free tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in all service stations. Food was good restaurant staff excellent.
We got married here on the 29th November 2025. The rooms in the towers were beautiful, the food was great and so was the party. I was impressed how helpful the staff were too. A thoroughly enjoyable wedding at a great venue.
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at De Vere Horsley Estate! The location is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and everything felt beautifully maintained. The food was also amazing, both breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. But what truly made my stay exceptional was the amazing staff. At the reception, I was welcomed by Livette, an absolutely lovely woman with the warmest smile. She greeted me so kindly and made me feel truly welcome from the very first moment. Her positive energy and friendliness set the perfect tone for my stay. I truly hope to see her again on my next visit. During dinner, I was helped by Agnieszka, and she was incredible, so warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. I am diabetic, and when my blood sugar suddenly dropped, she immediately ensured that I received my meal faster. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention meant so much to me. Thank you, Agnieszka, you are a star! I hope to meet you again during my next stay. Please take good care of these two amazing ladies, they are truly outstanding and made my visit unforgettable! I can highly recommend De Vere Horsley Estate, and I look forward to returning soon.
We stayed in the Towers part of the estate which is a few minutes walk from the main building and all the facilities. The main building is modern and the Towers is historic and full of character. However, there a lots of stairs and the plumbing is not the best and the nature of the place means it is not easy to keep clean. The stay was comfortable and a novel experience.
We booked a double room for 2 nights but then decided to upgrade to a suite. Which was room number 10 overlooking the fish pond. Everything was excellent, ample parking when we arrived, very welcoming staff on reception, our room was ready early and was spotless and spacious with a lovely decking area outside which we used lots. All of the staff go out of their way to help, we ate in the restaurant both nights from the buffet and the main menu and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. We were really pleasantly surprised with the free tea and coffee around the hotel with lots of seating areas to relax. The grounds are beautiful we enjoyed walks and also into the village nearby. The swimming pool was very nice which we used both days we felt a jacuzzi and steam room was lacking however we enjoyed our swim. All in all a fantastic chilled and relaxed few days away highly recommend.
